Inquire and Visit

What is the First Step to Apply to Mayfield?

To learn more about Mayfield Junior School and begin the application process, please complete an online inquiry. Registration for an Open House Tour is available on the inquiry confirmation. The information requested on the inquiry allows us to open a file for your child.

An email with log in information to the applicant portal will be sent to you after your inquiry is processed. The applicant portal allows access to a custom applicant checklist and the online application.

How to Visit Mayfield's Campus

Our Open House Tours are held during the school day allowing visitors to experience our campus in action. Each two-hour tour includes an introduction from MJS administration, an overview of the educational program, classroom visits, and connections with faculty, students, and current parents. Students applying for grades 4-8 are welcome to attend.

Online Application and Deadlines

How to Apply to Mayfield

Complete and submit the online application with the $125 application fee. Upon receipt of the application, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule next steps, including the student visit, academic screening, and parent interview (kindergarten applicants).

Review the online checklist for required supporting documents (teacher evaluation forms etc).

What are the Deadlines to Apply for 2027-2028?

Kindergarten Early Application Deadline: December 16, 2026

Early applications allow us to begin scheduling interviews and readiness visits

Grades K-8 Application Deadline: January 15, 2027

Supporting Documents: February 1, 2027

Kindergarten Readiness Visit
Parent/Guardian Interview

Grades 1-4

Campus Visit/Shadow Day: Applicants shadow a current student during a regular school day.

Academic Screening and Activities: Held on a Saturday morning in February.

Submit Supporting Documents

The required supporting documents for all applicants are listed below. The list is also available on your child's admissions profile. Supporting documents are due February 1, 2027

At-A-Glance Admissions Dates and Deadlines

Decision Notification

Mayfield and Pasadena Area Independent Schools will send admission decision notifications on March 12, 2027 at 5:00 p.m.

Admitted students families receive a communication from the Admissions Office and a separate email from our Business Office with an electronic enrollment contract.

The deadline to accept and submit the enrollment contract is March 19, 2027 at 5:00 p.m.
