Our MJS Community

Mayfield is more than just classrooms and curriculum—it's a vibrant community with shared beliefs and purpose.

For almost a century, our community has thrived as a result of the dedication, commitment, and care of many wonderful individuals. While the Holy Child values and our Mission direct our work, it is the people who put Action to those Words.

Mayfield Families

Mayfield Junior School thrives with the support and involvement of our entire community. There are many meaningful ways for parents and extended family to volunteer and contribute to the life of the school.

Our Holy Child Community

As a Holy Child School we also belong to an international community connected by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus (SHCJ). The Society spans four continents within three Provinces including the American, European and African Provinces, working collaboratively with others in educational, spiritual, pastoral, social and healthcare ministries. The Holy Child Network of Schools, of which Mayfield is a member, is an association of nine schools in the United States with a long history of whole child education based on the philosophy of Cornelia Connelly, founder of the SHCJ.

As a Network, the schools share resources and expertise. Annual meetings and other gatherings provide opportunities for faculty, staff, administrators, trustees, and students to learn from one another and strengthen the bonds of community in our Holy Child family.
