Participating in the Life of the School
Mayfield Junior School thrives with the support and involvement of our entire community. There are many meaningful ways for parents and extended family to volunteer and contribute to the life of the school. Whether volunteering or attending several of our many events each year, parent participation is appreciated!
Mayfield is more than a school—it’s a joyful and welcoming community where families are supported, valued, and encouraged to grow. I feel incredibly grateful for our parent and guardian volunteers, who come together with generosity and enthusiasm to support our children, our faculty and staff, and one another, creating meaningful connections and lasting traditions that enrich the life of our school. I am continually inspired by the way MJS families show up for our community, and it is this spirit of involvement and belonging that makes Mayfield such a special place.

Parents' Association
The Parents’ Association brings the community together through fun activities and events throughout the year. All current parents and guardians are members of the PA, and welcome to participate in all community events.
Parents’ Association Board
Each year, a group of 25-30 parents serves as the board of the PA. They are nominated by peers or self-nominated and serve as chairs and or coordinators for various events and activities. The Board meets monthly. All PA members are welcome to attend the meetings.
Join others at many community events and volunteer opportunities.
Room Parents
Room parents are essential at every grade and assist in communication about school schedules and events, grade-level specific projects, and coordinating volunteers for field trips and other activities. Room parents are self-nominated, and selections are made over the summer for the following school year.
Admissions Ambassadors
Admissions Ambassadors assist throughout the year to showcase Mayfield to prospective families through campus tours, presentations, open house events, and more.
Mayfield Fund Committee
The Mayfield Fund is our annual fundraising priority. Committee members reach out to families to help us achieve our goal of 100% parent participation.
