Math Learn and Review

Ms. Faith Palermo
Grade 4-5
Period 5 – Session A Only

Math, Learn and Review is a course designed for students to brush up on key mathematical skills, concepts, and to prepare students for 4th and 5th-grade math. Students will participate in group activities as they review math for the upcoming school year and participate in grade-level direct instruction provided by the instructor.

Musical Theatre
Ms. Mandy - Aimee Art Productions
Grades K-1
Period 5 – Session A Only

Sing! Dance! Act! Play! Students will rehearse and perform a short Musical Theater production piece. During our engaging afternoon sessions, we will learn and practice one number from a Broadway musical such as "Annie," "Oliver," "Sound of Music," "Wizard of Oz," "Mary Poppins," and more. Our ensemble will learn the song with lyrics and melody, children will be given special parts in which each child is showcased, and we will rehearse for a final performance. Simple choreography will be learned to enhance the number, and students will be encouraged to sing, dance and act within the number. Our performance will have plenty of personality and energy, as well as reflect our basic skills in rhythm, pitch, melody, steady beat, character, story, movement, and teamwork. We will gather props and costumes from home and from our supply in order to embellish our performance. Along the way, we will warm up our voices, bodies and imaginations, play some theatre games, and have a bunch of fun with Musical Theatre extraordinaire, Ms. Mandy!

Music and Movement Fun!
Ms. Lynn - Aimee Art Productions
Grades K-1
Period 5 - Session B Only

Move and groove! Our young dancers, artists and musicians will get a chance to wiggle, play, and enjoy music and movement in this energetic and fun class. Dancing to familiar pop music as well as a rich repertoire of children's and musical theatre songs in different keys and rhythm patterns, youngsters will warm up their voices, bodies and imaginations, play dance and creative movement games, learn age-appropriate dances, and work together to have a lot of fun! We will enjoy basic gross motor movement skills such as gallop, skip, run, tiptoe, freeze and more, plus use levels such as high, medium and low, and pathways of movement such as zigzag, straight line, curve and more! Our class will culminate in an informal performance for our families and the summer program community. Let's get our groove on with singer/songwriter/triple threat, Ms. Lynn!
