Head of School Update | October 23, 2020

 

Following direction from the city, county, and state, we have completed all requirements for the kindergartners to return and have applied for the TK-2 waiver to bring our 1st and 2nd grade students back to campus. We hope to welcome 1st and 2nd graders when the TK-2 waiver is accepted, and other students just as soon as we are allowed by the county and city, although there is no clear path at this moment.

 

Our campus is ready thanks to significant investments and enhancements, and we have extensive health and safety measures, protocols, and procedures in place for all students, faculty, and staff. The health and safety of our community is our top priority. We will be sharing a video highlighting all of our preparations.

 

Being together as a school community is what makes Mayfield so unique and special. We are doing everything in our power to make this a reality as quickly and safely as possible. For months our Ever Forward Scenario planning teams have been communicating with government and health officials and have been diligently preparing our school community for students to return to campus. 

 

I applaud our students and teachers for continuing our cherished traditions and events during Forward Remote, and I am really looking forward to the Harvest Festival, Parent Education Series, and upcoming masses!
