Thank you for your continued collaboration and partnership as we all navigate the changing COVID-19 protocols. Your commitment to keeping all members of our school community safe is very much appreciated. Please review these important COVID-19 updates.
Reminder Upcoming Booster Clinic - January 21
- Hayden Performing Arts Center (HPAC), 3:00-6:00 p.m.
- Attendance is encouraged for eligible MJS students ages 12 and older (Only available to current MJS students, faculty, and staff).
- To register for the clinic, log into the school website.
- Click on the “Resources” tab at the top of the page.
- Click on “COVID-19 Booster Clinic.”
- You must make a separate appointment for each child receiving the booster.
- Please note: Parents must accompany their children. Please bring a copy of your insurance card AND vaccination record showing the dates of the first 2 shots. Registration is open until 1:00 p.m. January 21.
“Fully Vaccinated” Includes a Booster
The Pasadena Public Health Department’s (PPHD) “fully vaccinated status” now includes having the booster for all those age 12 and older who are eligible (whose second shot was 5 months ago or more).
Upgraded Masks
- Students are encouraged to upgrade their masks from cloth to KN95 or KF94 masks. Use 3-ply, surgical masks when KN95 or KF94 masks are not available.
- Children’s masks are available to students exiting isolation and quarantine. Please visit Ms. Evanjeli Terohanian in the Nurse’s Office.
COVID-19 Testing for the Week of January 24-28
Testing Clinic Offered Through Heluna Health - Monday, January 24 (strongly encouraged)
Complete Take-Home Rapid Test - January 26 (mandatory)
- Mayfield will send rapid tests home with students, faculty, and staff on Tuesday, January 25. All students, faculty, and staff should test on Wednesday morning, January 26, before school.
- If students, faculty, and staff are absent on Tuesday, rapid tests will be available for pick-up in the Front Office during school hours.
