This class is designed for students who will be entering Kindergarten in Fall 2024. The course has been designed to help create a smooth transition into the sometimes-overwhelming place called “Big School.” Through a developmental approach, students will have fun with creative and language arts, expand gross and fine motor skills, improve social skills and explore dramatic play.
Pre-requisite: Must be Age 4 years 9 mos. or older and entering a Kindergarten Program in Fall 2024.

This course will motivate children to learn basic math concepts and develop math skills through cooperative problem-solving and hands-on activities. In this course, students will begin to learn the basics of Spanish or continue their language-learning journey of mastering Spanish. Students will dive into different cultures through the lens of music, art, dance, and traditional foods. An emphasis will be placed on learning to converse in Spanish with day-to-day phrases and students will be able to build on their Spanish vocabulary skills. Students will learn about Spanish culture throughout the world and learn to love this language!
Avoid the “summer slide” with a buffet of books! Book Gurus will feast on books with daily storytime and reading for fun. They will tap their creative side, making origami books, zines, journals, and book trailers. Students will explore educational databases and enjoy audiobooks. Every day, students will take home daily kid lit swag. Each student will be able to choose two free books from Amazon.com to savor for their summer reading pleasure!
Students will start their day with a creative expression of painting and working with clay. The course is designed to let students experiment with the painting medium to create their own masterpieces! Clay work will include learning how to use your hands to mold and shape objects for this class and experience the joy of expressing a student’s creativity through various ways of applying paint and clay to art pieces and a culminating project at the end of the class.

Calling all Eggheads to the lab with the SCIENCE SYMBOL! Eggheads become science superheroes this session as they bend their vision, learn about super smelling, crazy illusions, ultrasonic hearing, and tons more! Once we've honed our powers, we'll pivot to our Secret Agents program, where Eggheads will write with invisible inks, create tools like periscopes and spy glasses, crack secret codes using cryptography, and design spy vehicles like Submarines and Planes - all on their way to becoming super spies!

Minecraft Creatives will build their own virtual city! Students will design a community, make homes, startup industries, fly and roam around, and be creative in different Minecraft spaces. Creatives have infinite resources and are invulnerable to damage, working independently and as a team. Every morning will begin with a Minecraft skill challenge. All skill levels are welcome, so join Creatives for four weeks of collaborative exploration!
This course begins with easy iron-on T-shirt designing, and then moves to more inventive T-shirt coloring and advanced designing using freezer paper, stencils, and bleach water solutions. Students will be given 3 plain shirts to design and take home but are welcome to bring spare tees from their closet for extra design opportunities! Students will also have the chance to design some accessories as part of this fun course!
Through fencing, students can integrate their minds and bodies. As a result, students who fence gain balance, sharpen reflexes, and improve hand-eye coordination, confidence, and self-esteem. Children will learn several footwork techniques, rules, safety, and play a variety of games allowing them to incorporate their newly acquired skills.

Learn and play tennis through fundamentals’ games and child-friendly activities. Students of all levels will find this course challenging and fun, as Tennis Kids encourages and respects all children’s natural and psychological development.

In this culinary course, we will discover the art of cooking! We will have weekly themes, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert; the children will learn how to use basic kitchen utensils and prepare some of their favorite foods. Each class will focus on teaching new techniques such as plating, roasting, marinating, and dicing. It’s a wonderful opportunity for them to gain knowledge and skills that they can use in the kitchen as they grow!
Get up and move! Students will move their bodies and experience different cultures, histories of dance and fun moves. Students will learn routines from Lyrical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, African, Square Dance, Folk Dance and Step/ Stomp dance, studying one dance each week with a showcase of different dance styles in routines at the end of the summer program.

All skill levels are welcome, so survive and thrive for four weeks of summer!

In this class students will be taught the game of chess based on their level of play and receive professional feedback and instruction. Explore different tactics, compete, and improve chess skills here!
This class is perfect for those who love the mushy, slimy and oozy things of science. Goo Yuck! will allow the young mad scientist in children to take on the yuckiest, gooiest and grossest of all scientific phenomena. Whether it is slimy polymers, smelly body functions or strange animal habits, students will be laughing and maybe even eating an experiment while learning science.
Chemistry is amazing! Conduct physical and chemical experiments and learn what makes them work. Make your own desiccators and Elephant Toothpaste, grow copper sulfate crystals and get ready for an instant snowstorm! All reactions are done outdoors, and students wear protective goggles.

Mega Movie Makers will enjoy a Red-Carpet Screening of their work AND have a digital keepsake of their Mega Movies at the end of the session!
Dive into the world of fashion and style in this fun and artistic hands-on-class as students learn to use their creativity and sense of style to make an idea come to life! Learn the art form of bedazzling accessories and become a “fashionista” with other fabulous decorating ideas you can apply to your wardrobe!
In this cooking course, students will read stories that include a food component as part of the narrative. Students will bring the story to life as the class makes food from each story. Students will create a yummy treat and enjoy their creation at the end of each class. Students will have the opportunity to design a cookbook to go along with each story and recipe. By the end of the course, a student’s cookbook will be filled with delectable treats from their experience in Storybook Cuisine!
In this fun course students will learn about the Ukulele instrument and discover the ever-popular percussion instrument, the drum. With ukulele learning, students will begin to learn how to play chords and master a variety of songs in this fun course!
Students will experience how much fun it is to learn to play the drum… and drumming with others is even better! We play on buckets, African djembes and bass drums and always stay in tune with each other. We create rhythms with shakers, frame drums, triangles, wood blocks, pots, and other noisy toys. We will dance, sing, and make our own instruments as part of the drum portion of this course.
Sing like a star! Let’s go on Broadway! Sing your favorite song like a pro and record it on a summer program-supplied i-Pad for the course. Students will learn how to improve their singing technique and presentation and find songs that suit their voice. Students will have an opportunity to practice and perfect their performance until they are ready to take home a recording to their liking. Come sing, learn, enjoy, and shine!!!

This basketball program is designed to help every young player become versatile and valuable in every position on the court. The goal is to improve fundamental basketball skills of every student, no matter of their size and athletic ability.

Practicing mindfulness on a regular basis may help students feel calmer, happier and be more in tune with their inner self.

This course is a perfect class for students to express their artistic and creative side! Students will work on an arts and crafts or painting project related to our book of the day! We will paint using multiple mediums and a variety of resources.

Emerging second graders will complete a journey that will focus on different writing styles each week of this course. The core elements of writing will include descriptive, informative, persuasive, and narrative styles…all elements utilized to strengthen writing skills at this grade level. Students will have a chance to create one or two writing pieces a week using imagery and art and take part in a writer’s workshop-style course designed for second graders!
This course aims to improve upon a student’s athletic ability for virtually all sports. The key to success in sports is having a solid athletic foundation. The course will focus on developing skills in the following areas:
Agility/Balance/Hand & Foot Eye Coordination/Speed/Strength/ and Smoothness
Students will be evaluated to determine their individual strengths, and they will be given various exercises to help develop a more solid athletic foundation or improve their abilities if they have already had some athletic experience.
Students will engage in various games to help them develop as well.

Design and tinker in Laser Cutting! Students will create, cut, and engrave on the Epilog Zing laser cutter, using materials such as plywood, balsa, cardboard, acrylic, metal, etc. Students will learn the cycle of design, prototype, test and redesign as budding artists and engineers. They will craft take-home projects such as bookmarks, coasters, caddies, name plaques, and more! Students will use various art supplies to bring their laser cutting creations to life!
This class will introduce children to various art mediums and techniques while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Students will learn to depict images, animals, landscapes and abstractions while learning about and gaining inspiration from various famous artists. Using oil pastels, pencils, watercolors, tempera paints, and collage, students will have the ability to explore different mediums and discover their artistic abilities and strengths.
Sing! Dance! Act! Play! Students will rehearse and perform a short Musical Theater production piece in this fun class! This course is geared toward students who like to sing and dance in a fun, performance-based environment!

Scrapbooking is fun…! Join us as students learn the art of scrapbooking in this creative course! Each day, students will work on a different theme for a page in the student’s scrapbook. This course will inspire students to think outside of the box and each class will allow students to express their own creativity through scrapbooking. At the end of the course, students will have a scrapbook filled with summer memories they can always look back on from Summer 2024!
