Harvest Festival!
Pirates and nerds, peacocks and cowboys and even a Rose Princess or two were in attendance as Mayfield Junior School’s eighth grade class hosted the annual Halloween Harvest Festival on Friday, October 28. The festival brings the entire community together for good food, costume parades, a raffle, many games and booths and of course a great time for all. This highly anticipated event was once again a great success thanks to the tireless efforts of dedicated eighth graders. The Harvest Festival is a student fundraising event organized and produced entirely by the eighth grade class with all proceeds supporting the school’s Reach Out efforts. The students solicit donations, book vendors, organize, build and man the booths and market the event to the community. The money raised is traditionally reserved and added to other annual fundraiser proceeds to be given away to charities and organization chosen by the eighth grade class at the end of the school year.
