8th Grade Musical Returns to the Stage

After two years out of the theater, our Performing Arts Department is happy to be back in the Hayden Performing Arts Center for the Class of 2022 production of Children of Eden Jr. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Wicked), Children of Eden is a powerful musical about what it means to grow up. From Adam and Eve to Noah and his family, we get an up close look at the relationship between parents and their children, and begin to understand that the “hardest part of love is letting go.”

The eighth grade play is a long tradition here at Mayfield. With roles as both cast and crew, students learn all sides of a stage production and collaborate in a creative experience as a class.
