The Middle School Learning Specialist is a collaborative member of the Student Services team and works closely with teachers, the admissions director, the Counselors, Learning Center staff, Deans of Student Life and Academic Life, as well as Lower and Middle School Division directors to implement a dynamic and comprehensive program of academic, social, and emotional support for all students.
The Middle School Learning Specialist must have the capacity to help support the technical elements of the Learning Services role and possess the emotional and empathic capacity to help students and families to succeed in middle school. The Middle School Learning Specialist is responsible for their own learning and growth and seeks out professional development opportunities throughout the year in order to ensure they are aware of all the current educational pedagogy.

The Middle School Resource Teacher teaches small-group middle school classes focused on independent learning skills while overseeing student progress in self-paced ASL coursework. The Resource Teacher will collaborate with the Learning Specialists, Math Specialist, teachers, and families to support and communicate regarding student progress and needs.
As members of the teaching faculty, the Resource Teacher should be ready to chaperone class trips and engage fully in all school or division-wide events/experiences that develop the whole child in a Catholic, independent school community.

The Learning Center Program Assistant supports the academic success of middle school students by coordinating and supervising assessments across campus and ensuring that approved accommodations are implemented with fidelity. In addition to proctoring responsibilities, the Program Associate supports the Learning Center through small group instruction, occasional classroom support in upper elementary grades, and administrative tasks that support student services. This role requires strong organization, flexibility, and proactive communication to coordinate testing logistics while building positive relationships with students, teachers, and staff across campus.
The Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for capturing, curating, and creating engaging digital content that brings Mayfield Junior School’s story to life. This role supports content production for the School's social media platforms, digital communications/advertising, and other needs with a focus on showcasing the educational program, student life, school events, and community activities.
The Digital Media Coordinator provides essential social media, written, photographic, video, and graphic design support to promote Mayfield to internal and external audiences. This position ensures all digital content aligns with the School's Mission, Vision, Goals, and style guidelines. The position will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications and collaborate with department staff and all departments and constituencies within the Mayfield Junior School/Holy Child community.
Mayfield Junior School is seeking enthusiastic, flexible, and dedicated substitute teachers to provide high-quality instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher in grades K-8. The substitute teacher will ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all students and follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher. A substitute teacher will be on call and support internal substitution needs as they arise. A substitute teacher should be prepared to follow substitution plans, take on typical day-to-day duties such as supervision duties, and engage in relevant school or division-wide events/experiences.
As with any teacher at Mayfield Junior School, there is an expectation that this person will be open to feedback, creative discussion, and child-centered in their approach. All teachers at Mayfield Junior School should familiarize themselves with the mission and vision statement and be prepared to actively teach with Holy Child goals in mind.
