Who We Are | Founded in 1931 by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus, Mayfield Junior School is a leading independent, Catholic school serving students in kindergarten to eighth grade. Mayfield is distinguished by the Holy Child educational philosophy of Cornelia Connelly, the Society’s founder. Connelly’s pioneering belief of developing the whole child as an intellectual, spiritual, creative and athletic person set the standard for Mayfield 89 years ago. This belief guides the innovative educational program we provide and inspires our vision into the future.

Our Mission

We are committed to the religious and educational development of each child and to maintaining a sense of community and family spirit that welcomes people of diverse backgrounds. At Mayfield each child is challenged to reach his or her potential. We encourage our students to respond to the needs of our time with compassion, integrity and confidence in God and in their own gifts.
