Step 1: Inquire and Visit

To learn more about Mayfield Junior School and begin the application process, please complete an online inquiry. The information requested on the form allows us to open a file for your child and provides you with access to the online application and checklist.
The online application requires a username and password. An email with log in information will be sent to you after your inquiry is processed.
Open House Tours
Our Open House tours are held during the school day allowing visitors to experience our campus in action. Each two-hour tour includes an introduction from MJS administration, overview of the curriculum, classroom visits, and connections with faculty, students, and current parents. Students applying for grades 4-8 are welcome to attend.

Step 2: Apply
The application deadline is January 15, 2026
Review the online checklist for required supporting documents (teacher evaluation forms etc).
Submit the online application with the $125 application fee. Upon receipt of the application, MJS will contact you to schedule next steps, including the student visit, academic screening, and parent interview (kindergarten applicants).

Step 3: Assessment and Interview
We will contact your family to schedule the following once an application has been received.
Kindergarten Applicants:
Kindergarten applicants for 2026-2027 academic year must be 5 years old by September 1, 2026.

Step 4: Submit Supporting Documents
The required supporting documents for all applicants are listed below. Many are available on your child's profile or the admissions checklist. Supporting documents are due February 1, 2026

Decisions and Enrollment
Mayfield and Pasadena Area Independent Schools will send admission decision notifications on March 13, 2026 at 5:00p.m.
Admitted students families receive a communication from the Admissions Office and a separate email from our Business Office with an electronic enrollment contract.
The deadline to accept and submit the enrollment is March 20, 2026 at 5:00p.m.
