Since 1931, Mayfield Junior School has challenged students to reach their potential by following the Holy Child philosophy of developing the Whole child as an intellectual, spiritual, creative, and athletic person. We strive to fully equip students, so they are best prepared for high and beyond, and to ultimately contribute to making our world a better place.
Head of School, Joe Sciuto, said it best, “A faculty of the highest quality, working with the most innovative teaching and learning resources available, this is how we best support and serve our students...”
Continuing to create effective teaching environments is critical to student learning. Mayfield, however, last completed a major campus improvement project more than 20 years ago with the development of the Lower School.
After three years of thoughtful planning including a series of community meetings, the City of Pasadena unanimously approved Mayfield’s Master Plan in February 2023 which includes a center for teaching and learning, an expanded underground parking area that adds nearly 90 new parking spaces reducing neighborhood impact, and an improved, environmentally friendly outdoor playing field.
