Celebrating Family

Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day 2018 was a joyous celebration of the Mayfield Junior School community. The event is a favorite of faculty and staff for what can be better than a day filled with happy faces, proud smiles and the genuine warm embrace of family. Guests arrived at 8:30am for Mass followed by refreshments, family picture photo booths and a wide range of classroom activities including art projects, a music room sing-a-long, digital portfolio sharing and an opportunity to explore the D-Lab, Mayfield’s maker space. Eighth graders were in various locations on campus to demonstrate their Beethoven-Inspired Makey-Makey inventions. This annual event was first held in 1982 and remains a beloved tradition.
