Meet Alumni Council Chair: Kelley Driscoll Terrazas ’95
“I’m honored to step into the role of Alumni Council Chair and serve the Mayfield Junior School community in such a meaningful way. My hope for our alumni community is to strengthen our connections to Mayfield and one another. There are so many reasons for us to be proud alumni.
I invite you to explore the many ways you can get involved.”
Get to know Kelley
After I graduated from MJS, I attended Mayfield Senior School. I then studied Journalism and English at the University of Arizona. After college I worked in Development, first for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, then at City of Hope and USC. In 2014 I had my twin girls and made the shift to full-time motherhood. I’ve always saved some of my time to give back to Mayfield as a volunteer.
What is your favorite MJS tradition or memory?
Blue and White day still brings a smile to my face. I loved those days and the excitement of finding out what team you were on. The best!
Who was your favorite teacher and why?
Pam Danni, of course! But honestly, and I tell her often, she really was my favorite. She made class fun and learning exciting. Days in her classroom I still remember so well.
What inspires you to stay so connected to MJS?
The support my family and I have received over the years from the MJS community is sacred to me and something that means more than most people will ever know. I have been on the Council for 10 years and it has been an amazing way to reconnect with fellow alumni while also getting to see all of the amazing changes that have happen on campus. I am forever grateful for Mayfield and giving back though the Alumni Council is the least I can do to say “thank you” to a place that is so special to me.
What else would you like alumni to know about the Alumni Council?
We are always looking for enthusiastic alums to join us and you don’t have to live locally…our meetings can be attended virtually! We are really excited for a fun year ahead and hope you will join us!
