Fall Alumni Mass- Sunday, November 22

Mayfield Junior School alumni gathered for the 5th annual Fall Alumni Mass on November 22, 2009. Guests were greeted by David Hayden ’88, current chair of the Alumni Council, who welcomed Fr. Gregory Goethals, S.J., president of Loyola High School and current Mayfield Board member, as presider. Following communion members of the class of 2006, now seniors in high school, were invited to stand together to receive a special blessing. The assembly joined in the blessing, extending their hands over the young alumni, wishing them the best of luck in their journey to college and beyond. Guests gathered in the courtyard for a light supper following the mass. Many thanks go to event chairs Mary Anne Lanchantin Smith ’75, Edie Van Tuyle Gardner ’77, Caroline Collins ’81 and Jacqueline Girardi Lira ’80 for a wonderful celebration.
