Mustangs Earn Medals at LA Archdiocese Decathlon

Carrying on Mayfield Junior School’s strong showing at the Los Angeles Archdiocese Academic Decathlon, the 2012 team spent hours studying and reaped the results of their efforts on Saturday at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Out of 101 schools participating, they earned team medals by placing 10th in the Super Quiz event, as well as earned four individual medals. Abel Edens, who represented the school in Science, placed tenth. Austin Janisch, excelling in Social Studies, placed 8th. Christopher Dinkel earned 6th in Current Events, and receiving top honors, winning 1st place in Math, was Alex Bistagne.
