MJS Students Give Back
Eighth grade students presented donations to several organizations during the school’s annual Reach Out assembly on Friday, June 1. With matching funds from corporations and private individuals, all of the money donated was raised in student organized annual events and activities such as the fall Harvest Festival, Valentine’s Day Love Grams and snack bar sales on campus. Each year, through a diligent and heartfelt process, the eighth grade class personally select the organizations to receive the funds. Receiving donations this year were the Alzheimer's Association, Aplastic Anemia Association, Club 21 Learning and Resource Center, and Austism Speaks among others. Each organization chosen has a special significance to this class.
