A Delightful Visit with Author/Illustrator Tad Hills

Students in grades K-2 welcomed best selling author and illustrator Tad Hills for a special Book Fair 2015 kick off event. With a room full of young fans that had read his Rocket series and Duck and Goose books “when they were little,” Mr. Hills had a captive audience. He shared a bit about his family and the real life Rocket, read “How Rocket Learned to Read” aloud and even wowed the kids with photos of some awesome Halloween costumes he had made for his children over the years. The highlight of the morning was watching him work. While fielding questions from both the kids and adults, Mr. Hills painted us our very own “Duck” for Hodgins Library. Author visits are the best part of Book Fair!
